En. Patrick Tang Lay Ming telah dilantik sebagai Timbalan Pengarah baru IPG Kampus Rajang secara rasminya sejak 16 November 2011.  Beliau telah berkhidmat di IPG Kampus Rajang sejak tahun 1985 sebagai pensyarah Sains dan Matematik, Ketua Jabatan Sains dan Matematik dan Pensyarah Kanan DG52.

Jabatan Sains Sosial, Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Rajang (IPGKR) telah menganjurkan satu Pameran Manifestasi Idea Seni Visual di Bilik Seni, IPGKR pada 12 Oktober 2011.  Pameran ini mempamerkan hasil kerja dan pengaplikasian kemahiran seni pelajar PPISMP (PSV) sepanjang 3 semester yang merangkumi karya seni halus seperti catan, lukisan dan arca serta kraftangan tradisional seperti wau dan anyaman. Terdapat pelbagai aktiviti seni yang telah disediakan seperti arca ringkas, ‘tie and dye’ dan pualaman yang boleh menarik minat para pengunjung yang datang.

The staff and students of Teacher Education Institute Rajang Campus (IPGKR) here in Bintangor are on cloud nine after they had won  the Chief Minister’s Cup in the just concluded 10^th Inter IPG Sarawak Zone Drama Competition in Miri. The contest, themed “Shining Jewels”, was held from October 1 to 5. Beside adjudged as the overall champion , IPGKR also captured four out of eight categories competed during the drama festival, being the Best Director, Best Script, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

The champion team received a cash prize of RM2500 and the Chief Minister trophy. The winners were honoured once again during the monthly assembly in the campus.
